YOUTH GROUP
YOUTH GROUP: Wednesday night from 7:00pm – 8:15pm These nights consist of fun, games, and learning about scripture through a message and small group discussions. Students are encouraged to invite their friends. If any parents or adults are interested in volunteering, helping with these evenings, or have any questions feel free to reach Asher Timberlake, our Youth Intern, at youth@powhatanumc.us

SUMMER MISSION TRIP: July 9 On July 9, the youth will be going to the Agape Christian Children’s Center on the Eastern Shore for their annual youth mission trip. They are bringing Vacation Bible School to the children at the center!!!
LOCAL MISSION TRIP: We had the opportunity to serve local ministries and organizations in the Chesterfield and Richmond area. On Monday we visited 2nd Presbyterian Church in downtown Richmond and distributed 200 meals. We also served 143 families outside at the Chesterfield Food Bank. On Tuesday, we traveled to River of Life Church and transformed a youth room, cleaned and disinfected all the children’s toys, and stained the church playground. On Thursday, the youth visited Clover Hill Elementary School and painted benches, washed windows, weeded flower beds, and moved mulch. Finally, on our last day we were able to serve our own church at PUMC and trim bushes, lay down mulch, and clean up weeds around the building.
