Welcome the Thirsty to Worship

“Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty.”
– Jesus, John 4:13-14

God is on the move at Powhatan UMC. Come and See the incredible work happening in this community. We are in the midst of building and renovating our church facilities in order to Welcome You, and You, and You. At PUMC, we are striving to build God’s Kingdom and not our own. That’s why we are holding onto our primary job as a church – to BE and MAKE disciples of Jesus Christ. You are Welcome to worship here at 8:30 am and 11:00 am on Sundays (10:00 am on 5th Sundays). Through that worship experience, you will be encouraged to Encounter Christ in a small group. During those special times, the group will nudge you to Serve God in mission. And then throughout the year we will intentionally Celebrate Growing in grace.

The projected completion date for building and renovating is Fall 2018. Nevertheless, our job of Being and Making disciples of Jesus Christ is never completed. Every day, we strive to spend 28.8 minutes with God – 2% of our day to be exact – in prayer and Bible study. This intentional time with God is life-changing. Try it. Find time in your schedule to make it happen every day. Put it on your calendar, if needed. Taking that time will open your eyes to God’s movement in your life. Without a doubt, God is on the move at Powhatan UMC and I am glad to be part of it.

Lord Bless,
Pastor John
