PUMC's Youth Mission Statement:

To REACH students,
to CONNECT them,
to help them GROW in faith,
to help them DISCOVER their ministry and to HONOR God.

The purpose of the Powhatan United Methodist Church's Sr. High Youth Group is to promote Christian fellowship with Sr. High School students through a variety of activities; including missionary retreats, leadership skills, Bible study, fellowship & fun!

Throughout the year, the Sr. High Youth Group participates in mission projects, such as Meals on Wheels and Stop Hunger Now. There are also lots of extra activities including scavenger hunts, laser tag, ski trips, retreats and, of coarse, lock-ins! Join our team or just stop by to give us a try. Friends are ALWAYS welcome!

Finding mission opportunities for our youth in our church, in our community and in our world is an ongoing effort. If you have an opportunity for our youth to serve in the community, please contact Director of Children and Youth Ministries.

The Powhatan United Methodist Church Sr. High Youth Group is for students in grades 9-12 and meets for Sunday school at 9:45 each week. Twice a week there is a youth group activity, usally from 5:30 - 7:30 pm on Sunday evenings. This activity includes dinner. Our name, TAGG TEAM, stands for Teens Accepting God's Grace, and reminds us we are running our race together, with team members who care for us and help us carry our load.

For questions, please contact our Director of Children and Youth Ministries.
